DANIELLE Brown, who is now training just once a week compared to six times due to her declassification and setting up her own business, won a silver medal last weekend at the Nottingham Building Society GB National Series Finals.

Lothersdale'sBrown, who was controversially classified as an able-bodied archer earlier this year, was runner-up in the women's compound to Naomi Jones.

The holder and double Paralympic gold medallist had the advantage after the second end but then shot a six, helping to give Jones the edge by 143-135.

Brown, who is a member of the British Wheelchair Archery Club, said: "I'm quite pleased with my silver. It's been a really difficult year following my declassification.

"I've reduced my training to once a week rather than six times, so to take silver is a great achievement. Instead I've been really focusing on my new business of motivational speaking, sports psychology and helping people to cope with exam nerves.

"So many people have helped me to get where I am today, so it's great to be able to give something back by helping others achieve their goals and ambitions."
