In the early stages they didn’t seem to realise that hard work is needed at the coal face to create the platform from which to play their expansive 15-man game.
Once the team applied a work ethic, the scores came.
It was pleasing to see the two wingers get in on the scoring act on an afternoon when James Lockhart (2), James Ackers, Calum Patrick and Harry McEneaney scored tries.
Langstaff was Skipton’s player of the match in a performance that sets the team up nicely for Saturday’s home game with Knaresboroug
