Terry Dolan, one of the most successful managers in Bradford City’s history, is the guest speaker at the next meeting of Skipton Bantams, for Bradford City supporters.

Dolan’s key role at the heart of City and involvement with some of its most iconic players such as Stuart McCall and Dean Windass should ensure that this is one of the most interesting talks in the Skipton Bantams history so far.

After 195 league games for City, he later became the manager and in his first full season he missed out on promotion to the top flight of the league system by just one point. City were then beaten in the play-offs.

That marked the break up of Dolan’s team with terrace hero Stuart McCall leaving for Everton and Dolan was sacked in January of 1989. Later he managed Hull City where he signed and later sold a future Bradford City legend, Dean Windass.

Today Dolan is chief scout for Notts County and coach for the RAISA coaching scheme which unearthed Nahki Wells for City.

The meeting takes place at the White Rose Club on Newmarket Street, Skipton, starting at 7pm on Thursday September 25. Entrance is £4 - or £7 which includes a season’s membership fees.
