SKIPTON LMS are the new leaders of the Mastab's Craven League Premier Division.

Their 4-2 victory at Cross Hills not only put them top but also knocked the hosts, beaten for the first time this campaign, down to fourth in what is a tight top six.

With both teams depleted due to injuries and other commitments, the last thing Cross Hills needed was another injury but that is exactly what happened to Cross Hills' midfield dynamo Eddie Jenkins in the 26th minute.

Despite LMS having the better of a first half that was littered with fouls, Jamie Page and Ben Dewhirst went close for the hosts, and it wasn't until LMS' Luke Howsen embarked on a mazy run to shoot past Johnny Rampling that the deadlock was broken in the 54th minute.

Howsen's excellent free-kick 14 minutes later looked to have sealed it for the visitors but Dewhirst pegged one back for the hosts, only for Callum Wootton made it 3-1 before goals by Jack Wrigglesworth (Cross Hills) and Tom Hunter (LMS) made for an exciting finish.

Matthew Baines and Lee Walker gave Settle United a 2-1 lead at Rolls but they had to be content with a point as Morgan Brown and Liam Garbutt replied, the draw putting United second on goal difference.

Jeremy Gee's four goals spearheaded Grassington United's 7-2 victory at cellar dwellers Embsay put them third, Tarek Issa, Nicky Wright and Paul Wright also netting for the winners, James Mole hitting a brace for the losers, whose record is played five, lost five.

Two first-half goals sent Cowling on their way to a 3-0 defeat at Trawden Celtic, Jake Waring (2) and Callum Whitfield netting for the hosts. Cowling’s man of the match was Luke Barker.

Silsden Whitestar are the new front-runners in Division One, but only thanks to a thrilling 4-3 home victory over much-changed Pendle Renegades, who only stay fourth on goal difference.

The hosts went ahead in the first half with a cross-cum-shot from Andy Kay, which bounced over the keeper’s head, and they made it 2-0 with a “worldy” from 30 yards by Mark Bradley but the visitors also found the net before Dom Creed squeezed in a third for Whitestar just before the break.

Silsden, for whom Ben O'Melia was outstanding up front, dominated after the break and Bradley scored again after 75 minutes but the goals they conceded after 82 and 86 minutes made for a nervy finish.

Gargrave (third) and Skipton Town (first) went into their match as the only unbeaten sides in the division, and they sill are after a 1-1 draw, Matthew Simpson netting for Gargrave and William Knight for Town.

Cononley Sports Reserves, who had conceded 21 goals in three matches, are off the bottom courtesy of a 1-1 draw at home to Rolls Reserves, Stephen Pearson hitting a second-half equaliser for Sports after Matthew Blackwell had put Rolls ahead.

Manager Tony Piotrowicz had to come on in the second half for depleted Bradley but it was worth it as they won 2-1 at Bingley Town, Miles Thompson and substitute Keir Nelson netting either side of Bingley's equaliser.

A 79th-minute goal from Mirdstaw Bak earned Polonia a point at leaders Grindleton in Division Two, man of the match Hubert Nowogrodski grabbing Polonia's earlier goal, while man of the match Tom Storrie and Billy Skelton were on target for Cross Hills Reserves in their 7-2 Division Three defeat at Ingrow & Worth Valley Reserves.

Alex Senior and Leon Wright netted for Barons in their Barnoldswick derby victory at Wanderers, while a second-half strike was enough to deny Bradley Reserves any reward at home to Trawden Celtic Reserves.
