ROLLS Reserves have become the first team this season to hold Mastab'sCraven League Division One leaders Chatburn to a draw.

Hosts Chatburn were leading 3-0 at half-time but Chris Gaskell (3), Matthew Coates (2) and Justin Wilson helped the second string pull off a highly unlikely 6-6 draw, inspired by man of the match Paul Oldroyd.

Rolls Reserves thus climbed from ninth to eighth, while Chatburn are now vulnerable to Gargrave, Silsden Whitestar, Skipton Town and AFC Colne.

Cononley Sports were hot on a cold day as they beat the weather and their opponents in the Premier Division.

They defeated next-to-bottom visitors Embsay 5-0, scoring four goals in the first 20 minutes on the way to only their second win of the season and their first double.

With four of their previous five matches having being postponed, Sports were keen to make up for lost time, and Lee Thompson, Joel Birks and a brace from Craig Gregory saw them flying.

Gregory’s second was the goal of the game, if not the season.

It came from a cross, which he brought down superbly did a Cruyff turn and slotted the ball past the Embsay goalkeeper into the corner of the net with a fierce shot.

Embsay came more into game more after the break but a deflected shot sealed a much-needed home victory, lifting them a place to eighth.

Sporting Keighley's Division Two trip to Manningham All Stars was called off, so they booked the artificial pitch at Marley, and Ingrow & Worth Valley responded to their appeal to be opponents in a friendly, the latter winning 4-1 before being held 4-4.
