SKIPTON LMS may have only played seven matches so far this season in the Mastab's Craven League Premier Division, compared to leaders Cross Hills' 12.

However, LMS are the only unbeaten team left in the division and only trail them by seven points.

They preserved their record with a 3-2 home victory against second-placed Rolls to climb a place to fifth.

Luke Howsen, Fred Midgley and Paul Wilkin netted for LMS, Morgan Brown, who was one of three visitors to be yellow carded, and Jonathon McGeachie replying.

Oliver Hunter was Skipton's man of the match, and Thabani Songo got the award for Cowling but couldn't prevent a 5-0 defeat at Grassington United, who moved up one slot to fourth.

They had five different scorers – Ian Craven, Declan Hawkins, Tarek Issa, James Morgan and Nicky Wright – but Jack Schindler was man of the match.

The goals were certainly flying into the net in the First Division matches that survived the snow and frost.

Silsden Whitestar surprised leaders Chatburn, drawing 6-6 to climb a place to second, and the star of the show for the visitors was four-goal Mark Bradley.

Ben McClennon and Sam Stanfield were also on target as the Silsden side moved up a place to second, three points adrift of their hosts but with three games in hand.

There was also a 12-goal thriller at Skipton Town but this time Ingrow & Worth Valley were 7-5 victors. Andrew Nicholson (2), William Knight and Jake Thompson were among Town's marksmen.

In Division Three, Bradley Reserves handed second-placed visitors Pendle Renegades Reserves only their fourth defeat of the season.

The home side won 3-2 to climb from 11th to ninth thanks to goals from Robbie Smith, man of the match Tom Wilson and substitute Vincent Grant. Daniel Amos and Jake Greenbank replied.

Lewis Bradley Bannister (2) and Adam Bailey were on target for Barlick Wanderers, who lost 7-3 at Horton in a basement battle.

Mid-table Premier Division Settle United cruised into the quarter-finals of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy with a 5-1 victory at Division Three leaders Carleton.

Man-of-the-match Shaun Airey scored twice for the visitors, Dale Denham, Lee Walker and substitute Liam Swanson completing the tally, with Stuart Gee replying.

Robert Bradley was man of the match for Carleton, who had seen off Division Two Broomhill 8-4 in the previous round, again at Ramper Park.
