BRADLEY'S Andrew Hutchinson has won the men's over-50 singles at the Scottish Seniors' Open Championship.
The 50-year-old Bradford dentist was seeded second but won the event at Scotstoun Leisure Centre in Glasgow without dropping a set, and has been asked to captain Great Britain at the Four Nations Over-50s Tournament at Bolton Tennis Centre on May 2-4.
Former Yorkshire county player Hutchinson had a first-round bye in the Grade Three International Tennis Federation Tournament before defeating fellow Britons Graeme Matthew 6-2, 6-1, John O'Malley 6-4, 6-3, fourth seed Ronnie Terras 6-4, 6-4 and sixth seed and Scottish No 1 Ian Campbell 6-2, 6-3.
Completing the team in Bolton are Neil Howitt and Mark Hughes, neither of whom played in Glasgow.
