SKIPTON LMS have made it a nap-hand of victories in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Premier Division.

They made it five out of five with a 5-1 home win over lowly Cononley Sports, with goals by Matt Simpson (3) and substitute Fred Midgley (2), Reece Fowler getting the sole reply.

LMS’ position has been strengthened by second-placed Trawden Celtic being held to a 3-3 draw at Cross Hills, while Grassington United have improved their prospects, if not their third place, with a 4-3 victory at plucky but pointless Earby Town.

Jeremy Gee, Tarek Issa and Paul Wright were among United’s goalscorers, while Jack Schindler was their man of the match.

Silsden Whitestar had two hat-trick heroes in their 6-4 triumph over Rolls. Man of the match Joshua McNulty and Sam Stanfield both claimed trebles as Rolls’ Liam Garbutt and substitute Gareth Hargreaves replied with braces.

Skipton Town, who have lost one of their six contests so far, continue to lead the way in Division One.

Their latest win was by 3-0 at Sporting Keighley, John Bunnett scoring two and Will Knight one, while Andrew Nicholson was man of the match.

Carleton are leading the way in Division Two after five wins out of six, while Cowling Reserves are in a four-way tie for the lead in Division Three.

Inspired by Craig Gregory, they won 4-1 at Bingley Town Reserves to keep pace with Otley Town, Hellifield and Addingham on nine points from four matches.

Addingham won 2-1 at Barnoldswick Barons, while Sutton are in mid-table after a 4-2 home win over struggling Barnoldswick Wanderers.

Aiden Robertson (2), Alex Cook, James Wilson and man of the match James Macdonald were on target for Sutton, with Lewis Bradley Bannister and substitute Steven Gillam replying for Wanderers, whose man of the match was Tom Firth.
