BARBARA Thornton fought her way through to three of Skipton Golf Club’s ladies knockouts finals.
In the Quaiche competition, she was three down after nine holes against Pam Boulton but fought back to win at the l8th.
Thornton also overcame a battling Margaret Foster in the Brooksbank final, but she could not make it a hat-trick of titles in the Scratch event.
Milly Eaton was her opponent in the 36-hole final and the youngster established a two-hole lead at the halfway stage.
Thornton quickly levelled the match in the second round before Eaton produced some impressive gold to run out a 5&4 winner.
In the Junior Knockout final it was another Eaton, this time Milly's younger sister Hannah, who came out on top against Ben Topper. Hannah played almost flawless golf and eventually won on the 11th hole having only dropped a single shot to par.
