THE Bradford branch of the ACO (Association of Cricket Officials) have arranged a level-one course for umpires at Cross Hills Social Club.
The sessions are on Saturdays October 24, 31 and November 7 (noon-5pm), with an exam on Saturday, November 14.
The cost of the course is £30 per candidate, payable at the first session, but the fee includes all course material, workbook etc and a copy of Tom Smith’s Umpiring and Scoring, plus the cost of the exam.
The course, whose tutor is David Ratcliffe, prepares all candidates for league cricket, with in-depth teaching of the laws, including video clips to help with interpretation.
Any person attending will be offered first-year membership of the ECB ACO at a reduced cost.
