SILSDEN'S Dougie Lampkin and Cookridge's James Dabill will both hope they are not suffering from Vertigo in Saturday's 101st Scott Trial.

However, any loss of balance won't be down to a medical mishap at the famous event organised by Richmond Motor Club.

A more pressing concern is how their previously untested Vertigo bikes will fare at Feldom Range (9am).

Will it open the door for riders such as Ian Austermuhle, Ross Danby, Richard Sadler and Iwan Roberts, local favourites John Sunter and Jonathan Richardson or Billy Bolt and James Stones?

Meanwhile, spectators are asked to leave the Yorkshire Dales National Park as they found it, thereby helping to secure the future of the event as it is only by kind permission of landowners, farmers and gamekeepers that the event is held.

Supporters are also reminded to support the Scott Trial Charities, buy programmes and souvenirs and attend the Scott Trial Presentation at Richmond Cricket Club, where the traditional Scott Trial auction will take place.

Items can be donated to the auction by contacting Ros or Andrew Brown at secretary@richmondmotorclub.com.

Meanwhile, Silsden's Gabby Whitham (Jotagas) won Youth Class B in Yeadon and Guiseley Motor Club's Dave Curry Trophy Trial at Ramsgill last Sunday.
