SKIPTON'S Ethan Camsey was in record-breaking form for Skipton at the latest 2015 Airedale & Wharfedale District Amateur Swimming Association Gala series at Aireborough Leisure Centre.

He won the boys 13/14 years 4 x2 individual medley and smashed the championship record that had stood since 2008

His was one of five gold medal successes for the Skipton squad who also returned home with five silver and six bronze medals.

Hermione Roe led the field home in the girls 9/10 years one length butterfly. She also gained silvers in the ladies open two lengths breaststroke and as member of the ladies open 4 x 2 medley team alongside Madison Turner, Mia Douglas and Megan Baines.

Paige Fenton took first place in the 11/12 years two length freestyle and gained a second gold as a member of the victorious 11/12 years girls 4 x 2 freestyle relay team alongside Megan Baines, Ellen Wright and Madison Turner.

Skipton also won the corresponding boys relay in the 11/12 age group through Fenn Curran, Niall Smith, Rohan Smith, and Ethan Spencer.

Tommy Conway, swimming in his first Airedale & Wharfedale gala, produced a stirring performance to take silver in the boys 9/10 years one length butterfly.

Megan Baines was second in the girls 11/12 years two length freestyle with Abigail Newton claiming silver in the 13/14 years 4 x 2 individual medley.

Like Conway, William Oliver earned his first gala medal when he finished third in the 9/10 years one length butterfly.

Fenn Curran, 11/12 years two length freestyle and Ellen Wright, ladies open two length breaststroke, won individual bronze medals before helping their relay teams achieve third-place finishes.

Wright featured in the ladies open 4 x 2 medley along with Jess Van Beek, Fenton and Elspeth Hays, while Curran was in the men's open 4 x 2 medley team which also featured Daniel Burrows, Ethan Camsey and Declan Sequeira.

Skipton's final bronze medal was won by the girls 11/12 years 4 x 2 freestyle team of Elspeth Heys, Jessica Van Beek, Jessica Baines and Hebe Picking.
