BRADLEY'S Alex Ridehalgh made it three wins out of three in the Northern Track omnium qualifying rounds concluding in Scunthorpe last Saturday.

The 16-year-old South Craven School student won nine of the 15 races across three weekends at Manchester Velodrome, and outdoor tracks at York and Scunthorpe.

Each round consisted of three endurance races, one sprint and an individual kilometre time trial. In qualifying, Ridehalgh recorded the second fastest kilometre time this year with 1min 07sec.

Ridehalgh is currently in his second year as an Olympic Development Apprentice with British Cycling and is based at Manchester Velodrome where he trains up to three times a week.

He will compete against the country's top 24 competitors at Cardiff's Maindy Track in July where the National Champion will be decided.
