JOSH Carlos recorded his third victory so far in Ghyll Juniors’ weekly programme of competitions. His latest success came in the Tyrer Tours Trophy with a score of 43 stableford points. His handicap has come down four shots since the start of the season.
Tom Nutter’s 38 points clinched second spot, while Spencer Datkiewicz (35pts) shaded Jonathon Davies for third place.
On a hot and humid afternoon with thunder clouds threatening Hilary Hardaker braved the elements in shooting a score of 90-19-71 to lift the Marion Bateson Birthday Trophy, while Eileen Chapple (94-21-73) and Pat Parrington (99-24-75) completed the top placings.
On a glorious Ghyll morning, when the scores certainly matched the weather, the seniors just about managed to cling onto this season’s unbeaten record as they drew with Branshaw. Both sides sored 245 stableford points.
