DIVISION One leaders Bingley Congs bowled out Embsay for 81 as they secured a 126-run win.

Six of the home side's batsmen were dismissed for ducks with only Elliot Stockton (49no) saving his colleagues from greater embarrassment.

Matt Roberts took 6-25 for Congs after Aussie Sam Porter had made 63 in their total of 207. Haroon Ali took 4-66 for Embsay.

Haworth are just one point behind the leaders after they recorded a 128-run victory at the Coliseum. They rattled up 238-1 with Jamie Rowell hitting a superb 126no which included eight fours and nine sixes.

Peter Gower (73) shared an opening stand of 181 for Haworth. Only No 8 Martyn Dalby (40) offered much resistance as Cowling were bowled out for 110.

Crossflatts are third after seeing off Haworth Road by 82 runs at Rhysworth Park. Austin Smith (74) and Vikram Bakshi (69) took the home side to 193-8.

Haworth Road were deeply indebted to Will Forrest (83) in reaching 111 in reply as Mohammed Jamil took 3-21 and Bakshi (3-38).

Probably the innings of the day came at Street Lane where Ingrow St John’s recovered from 60-7 to reach 185 against a bowling attack in which Richard Walker finished with 6-69 and James MacDonald (4-42). Nadeem Safdar led the revival as he smashed ten sixes and nine fours in a brilliant 104.

Spinner Wasim Hussain claimed 5-37 and Safdar (3-10) as Sutton were dismissed for 125.

DIVISION TWO

Leaders Hepworth and Idle had few problems seeing off Ingrow St John’s II by eight wickets in Division Two while Wilsden moved up to second place after beating Glusburn by 174 runs at Windy Grove.

Sam Mitchell (85) and Rafaquat Mehmood (46no) helped Wilsden to 217-9 as Bryan Hollis took 4-74.

Mitchell followed up by taking 5-19 and Chris Mitchell 3-15 as Glusburn slumped to 43 all out.

After a barren start to the season, Bradley won for the second week running. They entertained Thornton and saw the West Craveners post 144 with Dan Oldfield making 46 as Vince Grant took 5-31 and James Heseltine (4-31).

Bradley got home by one wicket thanks mainly to a determined 77 from Neil Andrews.

Cononley are third in Division Three after a quick win down at Riddlesden. Matt Phillips (4-11) and Lewie Fitton (3-11) had the Grange Road side back in the hut for 76.

Andrew Starkey hit 45 not out as the South Craveners secured a fine nine-wicket win.

An unbeaten ninth-wicket stand of 37 between Bob Bateman (45no) and Simon Halt (22no) enabled Embsay II to scramble a two-wicket win over Gargrave who were bowled out for 106 when they batted first. Sixteen-year-old George Maloney (5-26) impressed while John Beckwith (36) was Gargrave's top scorer.

Sam Smith (44) and 3-8 was Skipton CI’s man of the match at Bradford & Bingley III. The Sandylanders posted 101 before knocking the Wagon Lane side over for 42 with John Stuttard (3-19) also in the wickets.
