SOUTH African Pieter Coetzer produced a stunning innings for Skipton before rain washed out their Division Two match with Thackley.

Coetzer peppered the boundary with 11 big sixes and eight fours as he made an unbeaten 129 which had his side cruising along at 227-1 in 37 overs when the weather intervened and the match was abandoned.

Shahid Nadeem, whose ore leisurely 60 not included five fours, shared an unbroken second-wicket stand of 220 with Coetzer.

Addingham featured in one of the two games to secure a positive result as they defeated promotion-chasing Colton by eight wickets.

Henry Barrow (5-32) and Rob Ellis (4-35) piled on the agony for Colton as they were dismissed for just 73. An unbeaten 28 from Will Atkins helped Addingham to their target.

Steeton looked to be facing another tough test in Division One when their game with Rawdon was abandoned.

Rawdon, thanks to the efforts of Ben Heritage (56) and Kuda Samunderu (54), compiled a total of 233-5. Steeton had only reached 9-0 when play was abandoned.

Upper Wharfedale, who are stranded at the foot of Division Three, produced one of their best bat ting performances of the season as they reached 206 against Tong Park Esholt.

Felix Adams impressed with 72 while Callum Lockett and Max Bell each made 41 to boost the score.

Tong Park Esholt were going well at 77-1 when play was washed out. Ajanthe Weerapuli (38no) and Nick Flood (33no) were looking confident before the rain came.

Silsden picked up maximum batting points as they reached 225-7 against New Rover. Skipper Chris Meehan (64) and Shaun Brentnall (74no) led the way
