THE heavy rain of Friday and overnight put paid to most of the cricket due to be played on Satursday with only six games going ahead.

Two of the matches that got the go ahead were in Division One where leaders Bingley Congs beat Denholme by 106 runs and Oakworth recorded a 101-run win at Haworth Road.

Mohammad Adil and Josh Nutting both scored 53 to help Bingley Congs to 229-9 in their overs as Ryan Judson took 5-48.

The visitors were bowled out for 123 with Toby Priestley top scoring with 69 as Neil Copping (4-37) and Adil (3-38) did most of the damage.

The victory enabled Congs to extend their lead to four points over Haworth.

Oakworth batted first at Baildon Bottom and plundered 220 with opener Joel Gallagher making 57 and Adam Smith (45) despite the efforts of Muhammad Zahid (3-51).

Haworth Road struggled to find any rhythm with their batting and were bowled out for 119 as Gareth Marshall (5-26) and Jack Davison (3-33) struck.

The one game that survived in Division Two was again at the southern end of the league. Jonathan Thompson with an unbeaten 100 and Mark Davies (55) put on 109 for the third wicket as Hepworth & Idle reached an impressive 246-4 at Westfield Lane.

Visitors Airedale were never in the hunt despite a second-wicket partnership of 78 by Matt Cox (46) and Trevor Cox (34). aThey were bowled out for 143 as Don Wooller took 4-68 and Thompson (3-26).

Wilsden and Haworth Road II head the division by one point from Hepworth & Idle.

Wagon Lane was the venue for Division Three's only match where the two teams that share the facilities locked horns.

Bradford & Bingley III were indebted to Andrew Dobson (68no) and Tim Carrow (38) for their total of 146-7. Matt Rodgers (37) and Arnie Raistrick (23) were the mainstay of Eldwick & Gilstead’s reply of 128 as Connor Hall Brown took 4-50 and James Baxter (3-38).

Among the teams kicking their heels were leaders Long Lee who are two points ahead of Cononley with Sandy Lane a further point back.

The game at Gargrave II was one of the two to survive in Division Four. They entertained Barrowford II and were skittled out for 56 despite the aid of 13 extras. Hamid Bakhsh (32) led the successful reply as the Bull Holme side sauntered home by eight wickets.

Sutton II entertained Bingley Congs III and restricted them to 87-9 in their 45 overs with Ben Nattrass making 20 as Carl Jepson took 4-18. Simon Todd (40no) saw the home side to a fine seven-wicket triumph.
