Barnoldswick Town 2 1874 Northwich 2

STRIKER Aaron Hollindrake netted twice as Barnoldswick recovered from 2-0 down to salvage a Hallmark Security League Premier Division point.

The hosts made a sluggish start and found themselves behind after just two minutes when Scott McGowan was fouled in the box and Thomas Bailey fired home the penalty.

Bailey thought he had scored a second goal in the 13th minute when his's powerful free kick flew into the net off a post, but it was ruled out for offside.

Town failed to make the most of their let off and did concede a second goal on the half hour when Sam Hind found space in the Town penalty area and cut the ball back to McGowan who slotted the ball home.

The second goal certainly triggered a response from Town. They hit back immediately when Hollindrake sent a thumping header past keeper Greg Hall.

Early in the second half the visitors were reduced to ten men. As the teams lined up for a free kick the referee was called over by one of his assistants and Northwich's Ryan Mitchell was sent off for an incident off the ball.

Town used their man advantage to exert pressure on their opponents and it told with eight minutes to go. That man Hollindrake was in the right place at the right time to score.
