SKIPTON LMS are the Craven League's sole survivors in the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup.

They won 4-2 at home to Junction Inn Rastrick in the second round and will travel to either Ryburn United or Ilkley Town on Saturday, December 3.

It's a very different story in the third round of the West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy, however, where seven Craven League clubs are through.

Among them are Rolls Reserves, Silsden Whitestar and Settle United Reserves.

Rolls Reserves won 4-1 at Sherburn White Rose Reserves and will travel to Kirkby Malzeard Reserves or West Riding County Amateur League side Hunsworth, while Settle United Reserves' 2-1 victory at Route One Rovers gave them a home tie against Springhead Reserves.

Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League leaders Whitestar won their second-round tie 2-1 at below-par Yorkshire Amateur League Premier Division strugglers Grangefield Old Boys.

FC Prince, who are 100 per centers in the Wakefield & District League First Division, will host Whitestar in the next round.

There was also internal cup and league action, and Premier Division Wilsden Athletic were on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline at home to Division One Skipton Town in the second round of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy.

Man of the match Michael Conroy, Sam Kimberley, Jonathon Reynolds and Jake Thompson netted for the visitors, while Carleton are also through after a 2-1 home victory over Bingley Juniors, courtesy of goals by Robert Bradley and Liam Steadman.

Town will now be at home to Cowling, while Carleton will entertain either Grassington United or Earby Town.

Cross Hills threatened an upset in the quarter-finals of the Premier Division Cup, leading 2-0 at half-time only to lose 5-4 after extra-time at Pendle Renegades, the full-time score being 3-3.

Joel Birks, Robert Matthews, Liam Molloy and substitute Jimmy Anson were on target for the south Craveners, while Cross Hills Reserves went down 2-0 at home to leaders Hellifield Sports, who booked a quarter-final at home to Pendle Renegades Reserves, in the first round of the Division One Cup.

Bradley Reserves, who are bottom of Division Three, lost 7-0 at home to Salts Reserves in the first round of their divisional cup.

There are new leaders in Division One, Cowling having taken over after a 5-4 win at bottom club Oxenhope Recreation, who threatened to notch their first win of the season.

Luke Barker (3) and Sam Woolley (2) were Cowling's marksmen, while Cononley Sports gained a point at AFC Barnoldswick in Division Two, with Danny Wilmore and substitute Marcel Blammon on target for the latter.

Skipton Town Reserves edged a nine-goal thriller at home to Grassington United Reserves, with Anthony Dean, Naq Hussain, Peter Nicholson, Jesse Teiti and substitute Maren Rucaj netting for the winners and Sean Clayton and Elliott Hall among those replying.

Meanwhile, Oliver Venn couldn't inspire Barnoldswick Barons to victory against Pendle Renegades Reserves.

In Division Three, fourth-placed Sutton had Mickey Ruddock (2), Phil Clayton and substitute Danny Ridehalgh on target in a 4-2 home win over Addingham, while Broomhill Reserves had a fine 3-1 victory at Cowling Reserves, gong winner Alasdair McEwan getting the consolation.

Daniel Holden got a hat-trick for Barlick Wanderers in a 4-3 defeat at leaders Ilkley.
