SILSDEN Whitestar were handed a tough draw in the first round of the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League's Premier Division Cup, with the third-placed club at home to Settle United, who are second.

However, Whitestar emerged 3-0 winners, goals from Jamie Longley, Sam Stanfield and sub James Whitehead securing a quarter-final tie at Grassington United.

In league action, fifth-placed Skipton LMS triumphed 6-2 at Wilsden Athletic in the Premier Division, with Luke Howson (3), Daniel Hunt (2) and Fred Midgley getting the goals, while man of the match Rob Matthews got the only effort for Cross Hills in their 4-1 defeat at Trawden Celtic.

In Division One, Bradley's David Hunt was on target in their creditable 1-1 draw at home to Chatburn, while Rolls Reserves triumphed 6-1 at home to relegation-threatened Oxenhope Rec, with man of the match Damon Clark (3), Matthew Coates (2) and Chris Holt netting.

In Division Two, leaders Hellifield Sports had six different scorers in their 9-0 victory at Barnoldswick Barons.

Dale Denham got four of them to add to single strikes by Matthew Beckwith, Simon Chapman, Jack Daley, Will Leeming and Jacob Wroe.

Cross Hills Reserves, who are only 11th, turned heads with a 5-5 home draw against third-placed Trawden Celtic Reserves, man of the match Joshua Page and Sam Smith getting braces for Cross Hills and Sam Maude completing the tally.

Second-placed Cononley Sports, inspired by Jake Manditsch, won 3-0 at Grassington United Reserves.

Barlick Wanderers were handed a tough draw in the first round of the Division Three Cup, hosting divisional leaders Ilkley.

But they made the front-runners sweat before bowing out 6-4, man of the match Daniel Holden getting all four of Wanderers' goals.

Silsden Whitestar Reserves, who are second in Division Three, put 11 past hosts Broomhill Reserves without reply.

Man of the match Bradley Fay (4) led the way, and he was well supported by Simon Cox (3), Tom Appleby (2), Sam Boothman and substitute Tom Lohan.

Cowling Reserves, whose gong winner was Gareth Sharpe, won 3-1 at Earby Town Reserves, while Settle United B triumphed 5-2 at home to Bingley Juniors Reserves.

Ben Barton's three goals earned him the man of the match award, with Sebastian Best and Alastair Smith also on target.
