West Didsbury & Chorlton 3 Barnoldswick Town 3
BARNOLDSWICK Town battled back from 3-0 down to extend their unbeaten run to seven games with a hard-earned Hallmark Security League Premier Division point at West Didsbury & Chorlton on Tuesday.
Danny Craig’s side were revived by three goals in 22 second half minutes as they fought back to secure a 3-3 draw.
Andrew Hill started the recovery when he slotted home a 63rd minute penalty and Town had their tails up when Gareth Hargreaves netted a second goal 12 minutes later.
The momentum was with Town and the equaliser came from striker Aaron Hollindrake – his fourth in three games – five minutes from time.
The fightback typified the spirit currently running through the Barnoldswick side, but manager Craig will have been disappointed to have seen his team concede three goals for the second time in four days.
Joe Shaw (11), Nic Evangelinos (24) and Nia Bayunu (28) were the men who gave West Didsbury & Chorlton their flying start.
Barnoldswick kick off their busy April programme with three home games in six days. On Saturday they face Hanley Town. before taking on table-topping Atherton Collieries on Tuesday. They follow that with the first leg of the Macron Cup semi-final against Bootle two days later
