FORTY-EIGHT Bradford Motor Club triallers headed for Halton Gill on Sunday morning seeking Manywells points in the championship series.

The visit to the head of Littondale marked the third event in the Winter Series.

It was a day to forget for Glusburn builder and WBS trial sponsor Nathan Wrigglesworth, who cracked a knee on a limestone rock which put championship points out of his game plan. He ended up with 164 penalties to his name.

Bradford lad Charlie Smith won the hard course class outright from Queensbury's Sam Boocock by four penalties.

There were a number of Keighley district riders to the fore, including Beth Dunning, who finished first novice and second overall on the 50-50 course behind Richard Pearson.
