BARNOLDSWICK enjoyed a bumper Bank Holiday weekend as they secured two Ribblesdale League wins.

They defeated Earby by nine wickets in a rain-affected Senior League match on Saturday and followed it by defeating Feniscowles by 52 runs 24 hours later.

Sri Lankan Shashrika Pussegolla (6-45) and Patrick Turner (4-43) impressed as they dismissed rivals Earby for 152.

Sam Parry, who was last man out for 41, and Richard Craddock (35) top scored for Earby.

Barnoldswick were left with a revised target after an interruption for rain and eased to victory by scoring 109-1.

Opener Abdul Saddique led the way with 64 not out and continued his good form against Feniscowles.

Saddique hit 13 fours in a fine 94 while Pussegolla cracked three sixes and 12 fours in his 80. With Umar Saddique chipping in with 33, Barlick finished on 267-6.

Pussegolla (4-67) and Turner (3-57) were again the key bowlers as Feniscowles were all out for 215.

Earby suffered their second defeat of the weekend when they went down by 41runs against Oswaldtwistle.

Ryan Levy returned figures of 4-58 as Oswaldtwistle made 234-8 when they batted first.

Earby made 193-9 in their reply with Luke Hipgrave making a battling 86 as Andrea Sudnik took 4-51.
