AFTER discussions with the Mewes Solicitors Craven League's executive committee, Riddlesden have pulled their first team out of Division One.

The Grange Road club have struggled all season to fulfil their playing obligations, often turning out with nine men, but last Saturday they could not raise a side for their trip to Barrowford.

All of Riddlesden's first-team results this season have therefore been declared null and void, and their second team, who play in Division Three, will therefore become their first team, although their Division One-standard players will not be selected.

At the end of the season, one team will be demoted from from each division instead of two.

As they are now a first team, Riddlesden will not be allowed to play in the Cowling Cup.

Cononley Seconds will be asked if they wish to be reinstated in the competition.

If they don't then, then Bradley will have a bye into the next round.

Riddlesden will be monitored for the rest of the season by the executive committee, who will discuss the club on a monthly basis.

If Riddlesden are able to field two teams next season, their second team will play in Division 4B.
