Irlam 1 Barnoldswick Town 1

BARNOLDSWICK Town have only themselves to blame after failing to pocket the three Hallmark Security Premier Division points.

They took the lead early in the second half but squandered further good chances before the home side levelled in the 94th minutes.

Town, who had Thomas Turner making his debut in goal due to an injury to on-loan Connor King, opened the scoring in the 47th minute when Mark Threlfall netted.

Danny Boyle and Zack Dale then passed up good scoring opportunities when they only had Irlam keeper Lee White to beat as Town chased their third win of the season.

Irlam made the most of the let offs when they were awarded a late free kick when Jonny Hodgkinson was ruled to have handled the ball.

The Town defence failed to pick up Liam Morrison who was unmarked six yards out when he fired the ball past Turner.
