GIGGLESWICK student Euan Brennan, above, was in good form in the Northern Counties Cross-Country Championships at Harewood.
Brennan, running for Ilkley Harriers, was third in the under-17 race in a time of 20min 36sec.
Alice Jones, who has produced a series of fine results for Wharfedale Harriers and Skipton Girls High School, was sixth in the under-15 girls race with Lilli Carr of Keighley & Craven coming 21st.
Craven-based runners were prominent in the under-15 boys race.
Sebastian Segger-Staveley was 17th for Settle Harriers in 14:46. He came home ahead of his Ermysted’s Grammar school colleagues Louis Hudson (25th) and Harvey Lewis (34th) who were running for Keighley & Craven.
Sam Conroy of Keighley & Craven was 14th in the under-13 boys event while clubmate Harisah Ghafoor was 21st in the girls race.
