FIRST played second in the semi-final of the Premier Division Cup and it was league leaders Settle United who slipped to a surprising 2-1 defeat after extra time to Trawden Celtic.

Celtic are only three points behind United in the league standings but have played three games more, so it was Settle who went into the clash as firm favourites.

They took a 1-0 lead into the break through Daniel Bathers, but two well-taken goals from Callum Whitfield condemned them to defeat.

Silsden Whitestar had to battle to reach the final of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy, securing a 2-1 comeback victory over Bradley.

Joe Stapleton gave the Division One side a surprise lead, but Ben Geary and James Wilson earned Silsden the win with their second half goals.

Bottom of the table Cross Hills gave Sporting Keighley a scare in the league on Saturday, reaching half-time with the scoreline at 3-3. Keighley pulled away in the second half though, winning 7-4.

Luke Newton shone on a disappointing day for Hills, bagging himself a hat-trick.

The mid-table clash between Grassington United and Rolls was hard-fought and finished honours even, at 1-1.

Skipton Town remain top of the Division One table on goal difference after a fine 5-0 away win at Broomhill, with Andrew Nicholson netting a brace.

Carleton sit level on points with Skipton with three games in hand and they secured a comfortable 4-1 win over AFC Colne, thanks to Luke Howsen's hat-trick.

Rolls Reserves ground out a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to lowly Hellifield Sports, while Cononley Sports won their relegation six-pointer convincingly, 7-0 away to Chatburn.

Barlick Wanderers eased their relegation fears in Division Two with a solid 2-0 win over Salts through goals from Tom Duerden and Matthew Holden.

Skipton Town Reserves also secured a fine win, beating Ilkley Town 3-2 thanks to a Daniel Tunney brace. Barnoldswick slipped to a battling 3-1 defeat away to league leaders Bingley Town.

Cowling Reserves maintained their title challenge with a comfortable 4-1 win over Settle United 3rds. Jimmy Anson's double setting them on their way.

Horton crashed to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat at rock-bottom Otley Town, a result which leaves them marooned in eighth place.

Cross Hills Reserves advanced to the semi-finals of the Division Three Cup after beating Bingley Town Reserves 3-1 thanks to a Jack Wrigglesworth treble. They face Otley in the last four.
