EMBSAY recorded their first win this season when they saw off Hepworth and Idle by eight wickets at Shires Lane. Phil Binner (4-31) and Haroon Ali (3-28) bowled the away side out for 98 and Eliott Stockton (30no) top scored as the hosts cruised home.

Sutton were chasing a daunting 222 to win against Barrowford but Craig Thornton (53) and David Snow (49) took them to 129-1. However, they were eventually bundled out for 193.

Division Two leaders Cowling were in fine pomp at Haworth Road II. They blasted their opponents out for 57, with Josh Gill (5-16) and Ajmal Choudhry (4-5) doing the damage, before romping home by nine wickets.

Long Lee suffered a seven-wicket defeat at Cononley. The Golden View side were dismissed for 135 with Cameron Knowles taking 5-40. He then made 39 to go with skipper Andrew Starkey’s 70no in an easy win.

Glusburn bowled well against Gargrave, with Steve Brown taking 4-16 to dismiss their opponents for 138. Despite Brown's 31 in reply, they subsided to a disappointing 30-run defeat.

Sutton II were bundled out for a paltry 42 as Barrowford II cruised home by nine wickets. Haworth II were also heavily beaten by Skipton CI.

Elsewhere, Bradley secured a comfortable 25-run victory at Thornton.

Cowling II suffered a heavy Division Four defeat, while Cononley II hammered Long Lee II by eight wickets while Wilsden II were outclassed by Skipton CI II, losing by nine wickets.

Bradley II suffered a humiliating defeat against Foulridge II. Their opponents racked up a mammoth 313-3, while they slumped to a dreadful score of 33 all out. No batsman made double figures for them and they lost by 280 runs.

Glusburn II proved to be an antidote to these one-sided contests with their thrilling one run win over Gargrave, achieved thanks to a stunning batting effort by their lower order.
