FOLLOWING some amazing performances this year, including six Yorkshire Championship titles, 11-year-old Jack Jenkinson’s achievements in the pool have been recognised.

Jack, who swims with Skipton Swimming Club six times a week, was thrilled to receive a letter informing him that he has been selected to attend the Swim England North East Region Swim Training Camps for 2018.

These development days form part of the Swim England Performance Programme, and will give Jack an opportunity to develop his technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills with swimmers of a similar age and ability from across the region.

The swimmers will be assessed and coached alongside other like-minded and talented athletes in order to help them to progress further to the highest levels in the sport.

Team Skipton hope that Jack will inspire other youngsters in the club with his efforts and achievements.

Skipton Swimming Club are affiliated with North East ASA and the Yorkshire Swimming Association, and are accredited to Swim21.

Welcoming swimmers of all ages and abilities from eight to 18, the club holds and attends competitions from novice to national level.
