SUTTON'S Anne Rawlinson has helped England to world glory.

The 63-year-old Ben Rhydding Hockey Club goalkeeper was in the national team that won the Grand Masters Hockey World Championship in Barcelona.

They sealed the title with a 1-0 victory over Alliance – a team made up largely of Dutch players.

"I only let in two goals in six matches, so as long as I can still kick the ball I will carry on," said Anne, "and anyway we have the European Championships in Belgium to look forward to."

Anne is one of the senior members of Ben Rhydding's fifth team, and said: "There are three of us older players in the team, and our job is to bring on the colts."
