Silsden’s new found form ground to a halt at Guiseley where run machine Vivek Mahajan was dismissed for just four to end his prolific run.
Opener Nathan Bradbury steered the early course with 30 but lost Tim Sugden for seven and Mahajan before establishing a small partnership with Lee Bilbrough (27).
Simon Cox then added 28 but the Silsden tail was whipped out with six batsmen notching just 14 runs between them as they finished on 129-9.
They had struggled against tight bowling from Guiseley skipper David Pennett, the former Notts county player brought through the ranks at Guiseley, (0-19 off eight overs), Marcus Brown (0-7 off nine overs), Andrew Paley (1-24 off nine), John Ormesher (2-6 off seven) and Robert Atkinson (2-18 off eight).
Guiseley lost opener Mark Ross without scoring but Adam Waite continued his good form with an unbeaten 50 while Alex Bell made 35 and Ormesher 18 as they won in 30 overs with seven wickets in hand.
Skipton entertained Ben Rhydding, who posted a score of 166-9 having struggled against the bowling of Simon Ashmore (3-43 off 12 overs) and S Nadeem (4-24 off ten overs).
Opener M Booth led the way for the Ilkley side with 52 and there were good contributions from C Swallow with 39 and R Oldham with 24 not out.
Skipton made a poor start losing both Gary Owens (3) and Steve Carling (1) with just four runs on the board.
They fell victim to Nick Smith, who continued to be the scourge of the Skipton innings taking 6-28 off a superb 17 over spell.
He had good support form Swallow with 2-37 off 14 overs. Top scorer for Skipton was Nadeem with 36 from the number three spot and he was sixth out with the score on 50.
Richard Walker showed some resistance with an unbeaten 14 but Skipton were finally out out for 93 in the 42nd over.
Upper Wharfedale took all six points from their home clash with Illingworth, who were dismissed for 185.
Opener A Lees starred for the visitors with a superb 90 and he had support from J Bishop with 33 in a second wicket stand of 87.
The best of the bowling came from Paddy Binner with 5-61 off 17 overs while Steve Pearson supported with 2-40 off 13 overs and Dave Eggleton picked up 2-28 off 6.1 overs.
Openers Chris Baines (9) and Andrew Foulds (0) did little to trouble the scorers and things looked bleak for Wharfedale when Eggleton departed without scoring, leaving Wharfedale 31-3.
A fine unbroken fourth wicket stand of 165 between James Freebury (68no) and Justin Graham (87no) brought victory with 11.5 overs to spare.
Steeton gained a five wickets win at Colton where the home side made 173-9, Jon Best taking 4-32 and M Spragg 3-21.
Opener J Sampson hit a half-century as Steeton got home with three balls to spare.
In Second Teams games Steeton took four points from a drawn game with Guiseley after posting a superb 237-8.
A Hardwick was the mainstay of the innings with 68 while J Jordan made 48 and the pair shared a fourth wicket stand of 72.
Guiseley were struggling at 75-7 until former Guiseley AFC goalkeeper Steve Dickinson - recently signed for Bradford Park Avenue - plundererd 75 and helped his side to 190-9.
Upper Wharfedale seconds travelled to Calverley and put the home side out for 137 with R Aldersley bagging 4-10 off six overs, C Bean 2-28 off nine and J Slater 2-24 off ten.
A fine 46 from Bean helped Wharfedale to a two wicket win, Slater giving solid support with 26.
Silsden’s second string gained six points from their four wicket win over visiting Colton. They made 197, A Bradbury taking 4-22.
Silsden made a good start in reply with Robert Wynn making 29 and J Hunt 47 in an opening stand of 51. J Tillotson helped bring up victory with an unbeaten 38.
Skipton seconds travelled to Ben Rhydding and posted a score of 203 of which opener L Davies top scored with a fine 73, support coming from G Summersgill with 29 and S Baldwin with 22.
Ben Rhydding fell for 113 in reply, unable to cope with the bowling of Summersgill who took a superb 7-28 off 18 overs. Jack Marchant top-scored for the Ilkley-based side with 46 but his colleagues had no answer to Summersgill whose 18 over stint included six maidens.
Steeton thirds lost by five wickets to Burley after being restricted to 123-9. The main contribution was the 52 of middle-order batsman A Howarth while C Lowe made 27.
For Burley Dom Grimes took 5-16. As Burley rubbed off the runs James Colclough made 30 and Andy Peel 23 not out.
