Hebden’s AndyHodge and rowing partner Pete Reed, as expected, won the men’s pairs final at the GB Rowing Team Winter Assessment at Dorney Lake in Buckinghamshire.
However, the Molesey-Leander club combination were pushed by their teammates Alex Partridge and Alex Gregory, of Leander and Reading University, with the latter duo keeping an overlap until the final few hundred metres.
Hodge said: “It's kind of satisfying to have raced on the 2012 course for the first time in this Olympiad. We had a good race today. Partirdge and Gregory had a strong race but we felt good
