Ermysted’s Grammar School’s winger Oliver Cicognini is in the England U-16 squad that will take on their Italian counterparts at Rome’s Stadio Flaminio.

It is Italy’s turn to host the annual tournament for U-16/U-17 teams and three grounds in the Italian capital will stage the six matches, also involving France and Wales, from April 3-10.

Phil Stanlake, lead coach of the England 16 Group, said: “To play against Italy at a stadium everyone will recognise from the coverage of England playing there last month and in previous years, is another exciting prospect for our boys.”
