Faultless Lampkin triumphs on home soil

Dougie Lampkin made a welcome appearance on home ground in Bradford Motor Club’s Boxing Day Trial at Howden Wood and marked it with a winning performance.

He rode the entire three-lap course without any penalty and shared top spot with British champion James Dabill who matched the 12-times world trials champion through every section at the Silsden venue.

Shibden's Jack Challoner lost a single penalty to finish third ahead of Lampkin’s East Keswick cousins Dan and Ben Hemingway.
