Marko Marosi was outstanding for Barnoldswick

Aaron Hollindrake’s 48th minute strike enabled Barnoldswick to keep a grip on second place in the Premier Division.
But the real hero for Town was their goalkeeper Marko Marosi who had a fine match.He made a series of fine saves to ensure that his side emerged with three valuable points.
Winsford created a number of chances but could not find a way to beat the young keeper.Marosi made his first save in the second minute when he blocked Lois Maynard’s close-range header.
Winsford claimed the ball had crossed the line, but the assistant referee disagreed.Gradually Town got into their stride and Hollindrake saw an overhead kick go inches wide.
Winsford keeper Andy Jones was in action in the 15th minute, pushing Shaun Airey’s header over the bar.
In between, Phil Drummond’s cross from the leftWinsford continued to have more of the play, but Barnoldswick carried a threat whenever they attacked.
The decisive goal came from a sloppy Winsford error.Maynard’s casual back pass to Jones was way too short and Hollindrake saw his opportunity to nip in and side foot the ball into the net.
Marosi had to pull off a stunning save to keep out a shot from the unmarked Andy Keogh before victory was confirmed.Town, who were visiting their local rivals Silsden last night, before entertaining Stone Dominoes on Saturday.
