Upper Wharfedale ’s relegation to Division Three was confirmed when they suffered an eight-wicket defeat against promotion-chasing Pool.

Once again the Upper Wharfedale batting crumbled as they were dismissed for 137 with Jamie Freebury again top scoring with 55.

He was the only batsman to master the bowling until tailender Josh Gill hit an unbeaten 31.

Callum Braddock took 5-32 as Pool dismissed Upper Wharfedale for a modest 137.

Pool cruised to their victory with openers Richard Henry (63) and James Ward (37) leading the way.

Skipton hit rock bottom after their 34-run defeat and have to win their final game at New Rover on Saturday if they are to avoid having to apply for re-election.

Rob Walker hit 56 in Skipton’s 194 and Gary Owens and Keir Nelson each picked up four wickets but they still lost at Woodhouse and, with Alwoodley beating Illing-worth, drop to the foot of the table after their 34-run defeat.

David Wildsmith, hit 103 and together with Craig Walton (48) helping Steeton to 222-6 as they defeated Guiseley by 44 runs in Division One.

Josh Nelson scored 88 in Guiseley’s reply but, with Andrew Luxton taking 6-40, they were dismissed for 178.

Majid Inayat passed the half-century mark for the ninth time this season but could not prevent Silsden going down to defeat against Colton, who were confirmed as Division Three champions.

Mark Scaife took 5-33 as Hall Park tried to defend a meagre 98 but Daryl Robinson (27no) saw Addingham home with three wickets to spare.
