Fabian Brennan has been chosen for Talent Team
Young Bentham cyclist, Fabian Brennan has been awarded a place on the British Cycling Talent Team. Twenty five under-16 boys and girls from the different disciplines of road and track cycling, mountain biking and BMX have beem chosen for the Talent Team.
Fabian will now benefit from following a training programme under the guidance of a British Cycling coach, and will attend monthly training camps with the other members of the team.
Fabian, aged 15, is a pupil at Lancaster Royal Grammar School and cycles for the Salt Ayre Cog Set Club.
He was selected on the basis of his results in national road and track competitions over the last two years and on his performance at a gruelling selection day at the Man- chester Velodrome.
Fabian said: “I am very happy to be selected for the Talent Team and can’t wait to start the challenge of training with them. I think this is a very important step towards reaching my goal to be a professional and it is a great opportunity for me.”
