Max factor is decisive in Skipton's junior order of merit

Skipton’s junior Order of Merit has been won by 13-year- old Max Berisford.

His best eight scores from the ten competitions played throughout the summer left him two points clear of his nearest rival.

Matthew Colgrave was second with Ben Topper and Frazer Clarke third and fourth respectively.

The Bullough’s Cleaning Services sponsored event is now in its ninth year and enables young junior members to compete in competitions from a shortened course and reduce their handicap.

The other top ten placings went to Daniel Pethybridge, Gregor Myles, Joe Shuttle- worth, Hannah Mayfield, Harry Ayrton and Lucy Goodfellow. All will receive prizes.

Skipton held its annual adult junior foursomes open on Saturday and it was won by Ben Mallinson who took first and second place with Spencer Datkiewicz 44pts and Jordan Harding 43pts respectively.

Third were Peter Sanderson and Frazer Clarke 43pts with Clitheroe Golf Club’s father and son pair of Alex and Seb Cave taking fourth spot with 37pts.
