Barnoldswick Town 2 Bootle 3
Town let a two-goal lead slip away as they tumbled to defeat in Saturday’s North West Counties Premier Division encounter.
Stewart Airdrie’s men started well and rocked the visitors with two goals in the opening 29 minutes.
Aaron Hollindrake opened the scoring after 29 minutes and the lively Joel Melia extended the advantage nine minutes later.
Sixth-placed Bootle were shaken but they hit back to reduce the deficit five minutes before the break when Tom Peterson slotted home.
The second half saw the visitors continue their revival and they levelled the score when Peterson netted in the 67th minute.
Both sides were anxious to get the next goal to secure the three points.
Unfortunately for Town, it went the way of their visitors as Peterson completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute.
