WITH many clubs in cup action, Cross Hills took advantage to climb to the top of the Mastab's Craven League Premier Division with a 6-4 victory at Grindleton.

Rob Matthews (2), Will Storrie, Ben Dewhirst, Jamie Page and Sam Wedgewood all hit the net for the visitors, who went from fifth place to the summit.

Oxenhope Thirds defeated Grindleton Reserves 2-1 to leapfrog them into first place in Division Two.

Ryan Sollitt opened the scoring, only for the visitors to equalise before the break, and just when it looked as if it was going to end in stalemate, Lee Collins sent on Sam Murphy, and the youngster repaid his manager’s confidence by firing in the winner.

On Saturday, Oxenhope entertain Salts Reserves (2pm).

Meanwhile late goals helped Polonia go second after a 4-1 home win over Skipton LMS Reserves.

It was 1-1 until the 78th minute when Pizemyslaw Witch scored, and substitute Maciek Zotek netted in the 84th and 87th minutes, Thomas Hunter replying.

Polonia climbed from sixth, while Sporting Keighley, who defeated visitors Settle United Reserves 6-1, are up to third from seventh.

Aaron Abbas (3), Shazaib Hussain, Chris Morris and substitute Zain Abbas were Sporting's marksmen, but Aatir Zuber was their man of the match.

Michael Judson won Bingley Town's gong in their 3-1 Division One victory at Rolls Reserves, the win moving them up two places to seventh, while Cross Hills Reserves, inspired by Tom Storrie, climbed from tenth to sixth in Division Three on the back of a 5-2 home victory over Horton.

Leaders Ingrow & Worth Valley Reserves went on their merry way, defeating fourth-placed visitors Skipton Town Reserves 5-1, Kyle Todd earning the man of the match honours, while Chris Hogg was Bradley Reserves' star in a 2-1 defeat at Barlick Wanderers.
