SILSDEN face a trip to the west coast tomorrow for a re-arranged fixture against Squires Gate, the club immediately above them on goal difference in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

The Cobbydalers have rallied of late with back-to-back victories, following a draw which reignited their season.

Those seven points were welcome after a disastrous six-match run in which they banked just one point from a possible 18.

The resurgence has lifted them back up to ninth, with both clubs having played the same number of games as they reach the halfway mark of their league campaign tomorrow – 21 games.

Squires Gate are in the middle of a rich vain of form themselves, having lost just one of their last ten league games.

They prepared for the visit of Silsden with a win in the league's Men United Cup on penalties.

The Cobbydalers fared worse in their last outing, losing 3-2 at Garforth Town in the West Riding County Cup.

Spokesman Jim Rosser said: “It was a poor first-half display. I know Andy Geary didn’t have Kev Ryan or Craig Nicholls – two of our most consistent players this season – but there was no bite.

“It was the chance to reach a semi-final but the team seemed to lack urgency.

"I don’t know what he said to them at half-time but it was a much better performance in the second half and they came close to forcing a draw.”
