There was plenty of entertainment at the Angel Telecom Stadium last night as Silsden took on a young Fleetwood Town side in a pre-season friendly.
The League One outfit’s youths showed their skill as they ran out 7-3 winners. The visitors opened the scoring midway through the first half and added right on the stroke of half-time.
Craig Nicholls hit back just two minutes into the second half after outpacing a defender and rounding the Fleetwood keeper. The visitors produced a four-goal salvo in a 12-minute spell either side of the hour-mark.
The Cobbydalers’ Chris Wademan netted a rapid brace before Fleetwood had the last word.
