Meanwhile, eighth-placed Cross Hills sprang a minor surprise with a 1-0 victory at fifth-placed Silsden Whitestar, with John Berry (Whitestar) and Harry Tosney picking up the respective awards.

In Division Two, the young and organised Cross Hills Reserves, whose man of the match was Jonathan Rampling, were the best team that second-placed Broomhill have faced this season but still lost 3-0.

Daniel Trojan-inspired FC Polonia certainly cashed in with so many teams on cup duty, defeating visitors Skipton Town Reserves 7-2 to climb five places to fourth.

Shane Dwyer and Josh Newton were on target for Town, whose best player was Thomas Hook.

Cowling Reserves, who had Thabani Songo to lend his experience, drew 0-0 at home to AFC Barnoldswick but Bingley Town Reserves lost 3-1 at Barlick Wanderers, for whom Daniel Holden scored a hat-trick.
