SILSDEN face another stern test tomorrow as second-placed 1874 Northwich travel to the Angel Telecom Stadium in the North West Counties Premier Division.
It marks a return to league action for the Cobbydalers after a triple helping of knockout competitions. Silsden triumphed over National League neighbours Guiseley in the West Riding County Cup in midweek, lost to Sunderland RCA in the FA Vase last weekend but progressed in the Men United Cup the previous Saturday.
Spokesman Jim Rosser said: “It’s been a hectic few weeks but it’s been really good for club, apart from the news that Craig Nicholls has left us.
“As far as we know he hasn’t signed for another club but we expect he will want to play somewhere.
“There has been so much going on with all the cup games but I know we’ll be in for a tough one in the league tomorrow because Northwich have been doing really well recently.”
