AFC Barnoldswick were the big movers in a truncated programme in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League.

They climbed from 11th to eighth in a very congested Third Division after a 5-2 home defeat over Otley Town, for whom it was only a second defeat of the campaign.

Matthew Holt led the way with a hat-trick, Peter Mogford and Mark O'Neill completing the tally as Daniel Mala was named man of the match, with Barnoldswick leap-frogging the reserve teams of Broomhill, Bingley Town and Cowling.

Leaders Hellifield had two hat-trick men in Matthew Beckwith and Dale Denham as next-to-bottom visitors Sutton were trounced 7-0, with Jack Daley adding a single strike.

Hosts Barlick Wanderers scored four but conceded nine to Ingrow & Worth Valley Reserves, who thus won only their second match of the campaign.

Adam Bailey (2), Matthew Ainscough and Tom Duerden netted for the losers, with Connor Farley winning the gong.

Oliver Venn scored for Andrew Wilkinson-inspired Barnoldswick Barons, who stayed fourth after a 1-1 draw at sixth-placed Horton.

In the Premier Division, Settle United are up to fourth after a 7-1 home victory over ninth-placed Cross Hills.

Dan Bathers and Will Beckwith led the way with two apiece, Luke Hepton, Mark Loughlin and Lee Walker adding singles.

David Worthington (Settle) and Jimmy Anson (Cross Hills) were the respective men of the match.
