Keighley District FA Supplementary Cup semi-final: Oxenhope Recreation Reserves 1 Steeton Reserves 2

Steeton knocked out the holders to reach the final in a game switched to their Doris Wells Memorial Field ground to ensure the tie went ahead.

The Chevrons' first opportunity came after 16 minutes when fine work by skipper Mark McGee saw him cut the ball back to Andy Howland, whose half-volley just missed the target.

Soon afterwards the visitors had their first strike on goal when Craig Morris shot just over from 20 yards.

Further opportunities fell to Steeton's Aaron Abbas, Harry McGowan and Andy Briggs but they were either wide of the mark or dealt with by Oxenhope's more than capable keeper Nick Hudson.

Oxenhope broke the deadlock around the half-hour mark following an interception by Dayne Ward. Sean Quinlan turned inside Tom Leach and slotted home.

Oxenhope almost doubled their lead after 50 minutes when a powerful header was scooped over the bar by keeper Wayne Mahomet. A drive by Abbas looked to be heading towards the bottom corner of the net but a superb save by Hudson kept it out.

After 56 minutes the equaliser finally came when a high cross from the right by McGee was met by Andy Briggs, who leapt extraordinarily high to nod home.

The winner came just two minutes later when Abbas chipped the keeper from 20 yards to score a spectacular goal.

Oxenhope strove hard for an equaliser and Steeton were once again indebted to Mahomet, who dived bravely to push away a fierce goalbound drive.

This was a superb effort by a relatively young Steeton side in which every player played extremely well.
