HARRY Thompson and Aaron Hollindrake both scored twice as Barnoldswick Town won their first home game of the Hallmark Security League season.

After four away fixtures they marked their return to the Silentnight Stadium with a victory despite being without top scorer Joe Gaughan, Jake McEneaney, Ben Gorman and Kieran Britton.

The visitors were trying to press Town high up the field but they fell behind after 12 minutes when Thompson pounced.

New Mills hit back and equalised when Tunde Owolabi cut in from the right and beat two men before scoring in the 23rd minute.

Town made a strong finish to the first half and two goals in 13 minutes from striker Aaron Hollindrake looked to have put them in control.

New Mills were given the boost of a goal from Haydn Foulds after 52 minutes and pressed in the hope of forcing an equaliser but were caught out three minutes from time when Thompson scored again.
