BRIGHOUSE Town got off to a dream start at Trafford but had to settle for yet another draw in the Evo-Stik League.

Leon Osborne gave them an early lead with a looping header from a first- minute free-kick but the home side levelled through Aaron Burns just before the interval.

It was Town’s fourth stalemate on the spin and their ninth in their last 12 league games.

It was more costly for their hosts as the Manchester outfit dropped from second to fourth in Division One North, while Brighouse climbed one place to eighth ahead of their West Riding County Cup tie tomorrow night at home to league rivals Goole AFC.

Thackley also endured a stalemate as they returned with only a point from a goalless draw at struggling Parkgate in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The Dennyboys remain second but now trail Cleethorpes Town by seven points.

Liversedge climbed one place to sixth following a 3-1 home win over Maltby Main.

Joe Walton bagged a first-half brace but the visitors hit back through Connor White just after the break.

Rhys Davies wrapped up the scoring soon after the hour as Sedge banked a maximum.

Campion remain outside the play-off places in Division One, despite going nap at Yorkshire Amateur with a 5-1 victory.

A brace inside the first eight minutes by Danny Cunningham and an Eli Hey strike put Campion 3-0 up after just 12 minutes.

After the interval, Liam Charles weighed in with a double either side of Adam Shaw pegging one back for the home side.

Rivals Eccleshill United are still mid-table after they also picked up a maximum with a 4-2 home win over basement outfit Nostell MW.

The Eagles led 2-1 at the break with goals from Luke Harrop and Liam Hudson.

Matty Stor and Andy Cooper were on target after the break, with Callum Charlton and Connor Prestley netting for the visitors.

There was more disappointment for Silsden in the Hallmark Security League as they lost 2-1 at home to Sandbach United in Division One.

All three goals came in the last 18 minutes as the visitors opened a two-goal lead through Aaron Knight and Josh Lane before an own goal from Kris Stockton halved the arrears.
