STEETON hot-shot Lee Reilly recently notched up a career landmark when he played his 200th game for the club.

It came in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division1-1 draw with Golcar United.

His achievement was marked by the club's kit suppliers Hummel who presented Lee with a new pair of boots emblazoned with green chevrons.

Reilly, who has netted 22 times this season, has scored an incredible 214 goals for Steeton with a strike rate of better than a goal a game.

The goal-getter has topped the Summerhill Lane outfit's scoring charts in each of his eight seasons with the club since joining them from Guiseley in the 2009-10 campaign.

In his first season, he netted 31 times in 24 games as Steeton clinched promotion to the top flight.

Two other Steeton players had previously achieved the milestone of 200 appearances – a fact that slipped under the radar of the club management. The club's longest-serving player is Sam Rooke who played his 200th game during the 2015-16 campaign.

He joined the club in 2007 and recalls his first game. He said: “I made my first team debut off the bench in a Division One game at Rawdon. Roy Mason put me on for the last 15 minutes when we were one down. I had a chance to level it but missed an absolute sitter!”

The 26-year-old has remained loyal despite having offers from other clubs. A highlight of his time with the club came in the Keighley Cup Final in April 2013 when he scored the opening goal in the 3-1 win over Silsden Whitestar.

Andy Holden reached his double century of games in the home defeat to Lower Hopton in October 2016 – a match in which he scored his 44th goal for the club.
