New Mills 3 Barnoldswick Town 0
NEW Mills inflicted a fifth-successive Hallmark Security League Premier Division defeat on battle-weary Barnoldswick Town on Easter Monday.
It was the visitors' fourth game in seven days and they were due to be in action again at home to Runcorn Town last night.
The result kept alive New Mills' slim hopes of avoiding relegation. They are six points adrift of safety with three games to play.
Dennis Sherriff opened the scoring after 18 minutes and his goal was all that separated the sides until the final minute.
New Mills struck twice in a minute to seal the three points with further goals from Callum Collinson and Joe Rothwell.
